The Tall Oregon Grape
One of the easier 
Pacific Northwest 
native evergreen plants to grow 
in most conditions.
Best time to plant is spring and fall
This plant grows best in partial to full shade.  
They are self fertile, but will Fruits best with two or more 
The leaves are a beautiful rose color when young, turning to a light green in summer, then reddish purple in fall and winter. 
The yellow spring flowers are fragrant, turning to bright red berries and ripening to a purple blue delicious berry.  
The berry similar in taste to that of a red current. 
Great for making jams, and a delicious wild berry wine. 🍷 
Slow growing it could take 10 to 20 years to reach full hight, but as you can see from the photos these little guys we have are already putting on berries😀
